our story
Viinipolku is the wine and spirits import department of a much bigger and diversified company, KIP Service Oy. We specialise in services to businesses. Safety, education, property management, water distribution… etc…
Starting to import wine was an unexpected development but an interesting one. The reasons behind this are the lack of local solution for wine distribution and the frustration to have so much difficulty to get some specific wine like French Languedoc.
Yes it is very personal and a bit crazy but wine has to be about passion and the desire to share. In any case, every single winemaker will tell you. You work with wine because you love wine, if you are in it for an other reason, then you should rather do something else.
So we selected with extreme care and true love, the best wine we could. We know all of the producers personnally and some for more than a decade. What we provide you with is the certainty of a great wine year after year.

Our values
Our import service is based on some simple principle. First we taste everything and select the wines ourselves. We avoid big famous wineries because we aim at offering something new and a fresh perspective. Then we want to work with small family estate that will only produce the best and most personal wines. Eventually, we want to bring them to you at the best price possible so that your customer can also enjoy the real stuff and not cheap overpriced vinegar.
sustainability
For us, sustainability is important but we also want to bring the customer to understand what is sustainable. It means traceability, it means not necessarily organic but thought through processes. It means wines and spirits produced at such a level of quality that it can support a respectful use of the soil and human workforce. Therefore, we import only from Europe at the moment. Our focus is France, Italy, Germany and central Europe (Austria, Slovenia, Bulgaria). The best example I can quote for sustainability is Josef Umathum... just go and check what he is doing and you will understand everything.
