Champagne Colin
The winery is family owned since 1829. It is located in Vertus, one of the finest village of the Côte de Blancs in Champagne. It is therefore specialised in blanc de blanc, aka pure Chardonnay champagnes. Colin is producing beautiful wines that aims at the perfect balance between ripeness and acidity.
The small estate is “RM”, that is Récoltant Manipulant in French. It means that they produce themselves their own wine and champagne, exclusively from their own vineyards. In terms of personality in quality, it is probably the best system.

Because of their location, Colin specialise in Blanc de Blanc. This type of Champagne is produced only from white grapes. Hense the name. Usually it means 100% Chardonnay.
The beauty of these wine comes from the attention paid to the detail and specifically the dosage, which is absolutely spot on. Not too much but not too little either.
Eventually, the maison produce two splendid Rosé, one of them made from saignée. They comme from the very few hectares planted in Pinot Noir, on the first growth plots.
